Seattle, WA – Indena U.S.A. announced today that its soy isoflavone product SoySelect® is now available to vitamin manufacturers.

SoySelect® soy isoflavones is manufactured under U.S. patent 6,280,777 and features two standardized active constituents – isoflavones and saponins.

soy plantSoySelect® is also one of the few soy isoflavone ingredients to be supported by two human clinical trials in postmenopausal women.

"Indena is very pleased to offer U.S. vitamin manufactures SoySelect® soy isoflavones. SoySelect® provides a patented and clinically supported option for vitamin manufacturers looking to add soy to their line of products or to replace existing soy ingredients not having clinical support" says Greg Ris, vice president of sales for Indena, U.S.A, Inc.

SoySelect® - Two standardized components responsible for its efficacy

SoySelect® utilizes stringent Indena standardization procedures to insure that SoySelect® is standardized in isoflavones and saponins.

Isoflavones are responsible for interacting with estrogen receptors that may help support symptoms in postmenopausal women.

Saponins are thought to improve the ability of isoflavones in interacting with estrogen and may play a role in the cardio-vascular system. For these reasons, Indena has standardized SoySelect® to include isoflavones (not less than 13% genistin and daidzin) and saponins (not less than 18%).

SoySelect® was developed to help support women for menopause and post-menopause symptoms and has been studied by Indena with pharmacokinetic, toxicological and clinical testing to insure its safety and efficacy.
The results obtained from a published clinical study showed that SoySelect® was effective in reducing the frequency and severity of flushes and provided some relief of hot flashes (1).

An additional study demonstrated that SoySelect® had a favorable effect on cognitive function in postmenopausal women (2).
